Steve Thompson is a founding member of the firm. From 1981-1986, Steve was associated with the Clayton, Missouri firm of Fordyce & Mayne, P.C. In 1986, he and Doug Copeland and a couple of other law school classmates formed the firm.  He served as the Municipal Judge for the City of Clayton, Missouri from 1986 to 1990.

Steve primarily practices in the fields of business and corporate law, real estate, employment law, and business and commercial litigation.

Steve currently serves a diverse clientele of St. Louis based corporations and institutions in these and other areas, including BJC Health System, Crown Packaging Corp., Washington University, All Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep, and formerly Incarnate Word Hospital.  In addition, he serves or has served as local counsel for such clients as U.S. Bank, N.A., Village Green Management Company, Emmis Communications, Alexander & Alexander Inc., Professional Claims Managers Inc., and Infinity Broadcasting Corporation.

Away from the office, Steve and his wife, Kathy, enjoy traveling, bragging on their three (grown) children and, in the fall, chasing Auburn University and Clemson University football games, wherever they might be playing.
